For those of you familiar with the Dallas area, our house is located north of the LBJ freeway and between the Dallas North Tollway and the Expressway in the northernmost part of Dallas. Although it's located in Dallas, it is within the Richardson ISD and feeds to an elementary school that was given the highest rating ("exemplary") by the Texas Education Authority.
The elementary school is only a few blocks from our house and the house is within a stone's throw of the public library, a large park with tennis courts and a pool, and a recreational facility. For you ladies out there, one of the most titillating things about the location of this house is the fact that it's only three miles from the Galleria. For those of you unfamiliar with the Galleria, it's a ginormous, multi-story shopping mall with every store under the sun.
With that background in mind, it's now time for a funny story. As we left the house and were heading to the next house on our list, our realtor (who is wonderful in case anyone needs a Dallas realtor) missed a turn just two blocks away from our house. She did a u-turn to correct the error and there, right in front of us, was our church! We couldn't have found a better location if we'd planned it!
Needless to say, we're very excited about this house.
It's not huge, but it will give us plenty of room to grow and it's been meticulously maintained by a fastidious elderly couple. We'll be closing on the house mid June.

I knew I should have went to law school instead! You bum! What kind of trial is that anyway? Remember your lowly former home teacher when you make your first million.
At least Dallas is far enough north to be out of major hurricane fronts.
