Well, we finally did it. The kids, for the first time, are in
separate rooms. Charlotte was outgrowing her mini-crib and Lyndon was still in the toddler bed. We decided it would just be easier to put Charlotte in the toddler bed and get Lyndon a big bed in a different room. We settled on a bunk bed we got from
The Dump that has a twin on top, a double on the bottom and a twin trundle you can pull out from underneath. We can fit 4 kids in there! That should be a fun slumber party when cousins come... for the kids at least. We also love the dresser/stairs we got to go with it. It was worth the extra money because it seems a lot safer. Charlotte is always wanting to climb up there with Lyndon.
He picked out Cowboy bedding and, of course, he sleeps on the top bunk.
Charlotte however... doesn't want to sleep anywhere but in her tiny crib. Any suggestions?? She just cries if I try to lay her down in the toddler bed! Lyndon loved it when we moved him to the toddler bed (at 16 months).
Here are some pictures of Lyndon's new room. It was previously the computer/scrap booking/crafts/sewing/school room (that stuff is now dispersed elsewhere throughout the house). Imagine it with paint, new carpet and with something hanging on the walls. Hopefully, we will get there one day.

You could try putting the toddler bed in the same room as Lyndon for a few nights and see if she'll sleep in it with her brother in the same room, you know like old times. Then after a few successful nights you could try moving her to her own room. Who knows? Every kid is different!
Wow! They are getting so big!! and cuter than ever every day!
